Job Title: Tax Preparer

Location: Onsite, Simi Valley, CA 

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation

Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or equivalent. EA or CTEC required ,CPA is preferred

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and be knowledgeable in all areas of tax compliance. An EA or CTEC certification is required, and CPA is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including but not limited to 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065

• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and answer tax-related questions

• Research and resolve complex tax issues

• Keep up to date with tax law changes and new developments

• Collaborate with other tax professionals to provide exceptional service to clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum two years of experience in tax preparation

• CPA preferred

• EA or CTEC certification required

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Proficient in tax preparation software, such as Lacerte or ProSeries

• Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
